Our night of audio and culinary adventure was amazing at the Masonic Temple in Liverpool Street. Based on the structure of a musical sonata, our MaSonic Supper consisted of five movements that shaped an experience of intrigue, participation and excess. We were invited by FranklinTill to host this night as part of the London Design Festival 2011. Full project documentation to come.
Our amazing ‘apprentices’ at the MaSonic Supper were three contemporary dancers / choreographers Lizzie Carr, Rosie Taylor and Geraldine Collins from Flock Dance. Here is their shiny new website…
We treated ourselves to an ice cream from Gelupo this week. The identity/interiors looked class, created by our studio partners – Here Design. And yes I’m standing on a step because our intern, Rike, is so tall.
Our friends over at Manvs.machine recently created this lovely Easter inspired animation for BT Vision. Resonate were invited to provide the soundtrack to this surreal, egg-rolling, egg-exploding, and then colourful bunnies everywhere delight.
Our aim was to design some really interesting sounds that were at once easy on the ear, yet unusual enough to capture the attention of all those heads-down chocolate scoffers out there.
Director Mark Jenkinson was commissioned to shoot a film celebrating the British Fashion Council’s 2th Anniversary. The holographic film of models wearing groundbreaking pieces from the last 25 years blurred the real with the hyper-real. Filmed on high speed cameras for slow motion playback, the 3D effect provided a dreamlike accompaniment to dinner in the Great Hall.
Successions is an ongoing collaboration by artist-photographer Shira Klasmer and Flock Dance. The Project explores the inextricable links between movement and the still image as well as those between artist and performer. This results in long panoramic style photographs that paint light, colour and movement as one continuous, unbroken narrative.
For the project at 176 Gallery in January 2009, Successions took on the form of a live installation with projections by Silent Studios and a soundscape produced by Resonate Music, sampling sounds of Klasmer’s camera at work.
There is a live performance this Thursday 11th June 2009 @ Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
