Our night of audio and culinary adventure was amazing at the Masonic Temple in Liverpool Street. Based on the structure of a musical sonata, our MaSonic Supper consisted of five movements that shaped an experience of intrigue, participation and excess. We were invited by FranklinTill to host this night as part of the London Design Festival 2011. Full project documentation to come.
A 6-minute dreamlike journey through the rivers and parks of London, drawing you deep into the magical city at night. The film was designed to be dissected over 5 giant video projection walls creating a fully immersive tunnel made out of black mirror and glass for a highly exclusive digital experience in Beijing.
Room 1 – The ‘triptych’ room (3x video projection walls): Close-up shots of flamingos, moving through frame from right to left encourage the flow of people into the next room…
Room 2 – The ‘flying’ room (1x video projection wall): Wider, epic shots. Edit starts with slow motion shots of flamingos running, then take off, then in full flight. In this room we hear the main music track: a beautiful orchestral piece that has a heritage, classical orchestration. For the most part a smooth piece to reflect the smooth nature of flying, with slightly playful elements that work well with the running legs and take off.
Silent Studios have created a haunting installation for Bally’s WW/AW ‘11 presentation in Milan. Seven separate films showing the latest looks were projected on to a wall of ice, set to a wintry soundtrack by Resonate @ Silent Studios. Watch highlights below…
Silent Studios have created a mesmerising video installation for Bally’s Menswear Autumn/ Winter ’11 presentation in Milan. A hypnotic, recurring dream sequence was created by repeating and layering clips of the European Snow Bison, all set to a dramatic soundtrack by Resonate @ Silent Studios.
Silent Studios were commissioned by luxury mobile phone company Vertu to create three installations for the launch of their first smartphone Constellation Quest. In an enticing mix of old and new, guests were treated to immersive projections and 360º sound installations, all in the palatial surroundings of London’s Lancaster House. The event then toured internationally from New York to Moscow.
The SS11 Womenswear ready-to-wear collection features pieces from the Bally archive interpreted into contemporary garments. This mix of heritage and modernity is reflected in our presentation film – statuesque models rotate slowly on the spot, garments flickering and changing in time to an abstract soundscape of bird calls.
The models were shot by independent production facility Punderson’s Gardens.
